The Case of the Midnight Raid

This is a guest post written by an MBC camper. It is based on an actual event, as reported by a Teen Volunteer, but a bit of creative license has been taken. Enjoy!

During a late-night cabin worship service, a group of teen girls beheld a curious sight: the guys from the Birch cabins, and their counselors, sneaking out of their cabin armed with flashlights and… pillows! The girls reported that the boys, completely unaware that they were being watched, meandered down the trails and across the bog, towards the Pine-Point cabins.

The girls who beheld this ordeal, couldn’t help but wonder if they were watching an army of pillow-fighting soldiers marching off to ambush the guys in the Pine Point cabins. Would this be a pillow war going down in camp history?

An investigation was opened, and through further inquiry the next morning, it was concluded that the youths were not raiding the Pine Point cabins, and were simply stargazing in the game field. Though some think it was a missed opportunity to make their mark on camp history, those housed in the Pine Point cabins were reassured that they could sleep soundly knowing they were not under attack.

Thus concludes The Case of the Midnight Raid.
